Project Updates:
The City Council and Staff are working hard to improve the quality of life for residents by enhancing streets, water and sewer utilities, parks, and public spaces.
- Sewer line replacement and street reconstruction. The sewer project is part of the 2024 HUD Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and the remaining portion of the project will be funded through reserves from the water and sewer funds. This includes:
- Replacing portions of a 6″ concrete sewer line. Replacing 47 customer service taps and installing new clean-outs.
This work will take place in the rear of the properties of 1620 Glenn & 1625 Corrin to 1744 Glenn & 1761 Corrin. This will also include 408 & 412 Globe Ave.
- The FY 2025 street project will consist of total reconstruction of Heritage and Ironsides done by Tarrant County Precinct 4. This is at no cost to the City outside of the purchase of materials. The project can take up to 45 days to complete depending on the weather. Driveway access may be limited at times and residents will be notified.
Future Projects:
Atmos subcontractor will be replacing 570’ of 2” gas main and services around Americana Blvd., Continental Blvd. and Heritage. This project is not a City project.
Completed Projects:
- Concrete curb and gutter replacement for Heritage and Ironside.
- New paint and surface for the basketball court.
- Installation of two Pickleball Courts.
