Mayor & City Council

The Mayor and City Council of Blue Mound Texas play a critical role in guiding the growth and development of our community. As a general law city, Blue Mound operates within the framework of the laws of the State of Texas. The council is the governing body responsible for making important policy decisions that impact the community, including approval of the budget and the setting of the tax rate.

In addition to overseeing the budget and tax rate, the council also plays a crucial role in the selection and performance evaluation of the City Administrator. The Mayor and City Council of Blue Mound Texas are committed to serving the community with integrity, transparency, and accountability, and are proud to work together to shape the future of our great city.

The Mayor receives $1,800.00 per month and Councilmembers receive $50.00 per meeting. Regular meetings are held on the third (3rd) Tuesdays of every month. There are no council meetings in the month of December. Additional meetings and workshops may be scheduled throughout the year as needed.
