The City of Blue Mound does not provide electric service, however, the city is tasked with verifying the safety of the structures within Blue Mound. Oncor (Electric Distribution Network) may require an inspection of the electrical system of the home prior to starting service. If your Electric Provider (TXU, Reliant, Cirro, etc) advises that there is a required inspection, please complete this form and email it to [email protected]. There is a $50 charge each for the Gas or Electric Safety Inspection.

Government issued identification (Driver’s License, State ID, Passport, Military ID) of the person signing the document. Rental agreement, closing documents (Warranty Deed or Deed of Trust) or verifiable ownership status. $150 deposit on RESIDENTIAL accounts. The deposit is required at the time of service activation and will be applied to the final bill upon closure of the account. Any remaining balance will be refunded and sent to last known mailing address.
Bills are sent out to the address/email listed on the application on or about the 15th of each month.
The due date for the city is the 10th of the month following the bill generation. If payment is not received by the due date shown on the bill, a late fee of 10% of the delinquent amount or $20.00, whichever is greater is applied to the account.
