The City of Blue Mound Food Pantry is Open!

The food pantry was created by Mayor Darlene Copeland in 2022. Mayor Copeland conducted training with the Tarrant Area Food Bank and has developed relationships with area grocery stores to secure food donations on a regular basis.

If you are in need of food, the food pantry is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday until 4:00 pm. The Pantry fully opens after the donations are processed, typically between 10 am and noon. Until all donations are processed, the Pantry Staff will limit the number of people allowed in the building.

Signing up to receive food is a simple one page form to gather basic census data on the families wishing to use the Pantry. A card will be issued to gain access each week. One card per household, please. Visitors are allowed to visit the food pantry once a week.

Due to overwhelming response, the Pantry is not accepting new applications for service from outside of Blue Mound. Please be prepared to show a picture ID reflecting a Blue Mound address for renewals or new registrations. The Pantry hopes to be able to accept new non-Blue Mound clients after the beginning of 2025.

If you would like to provide donations or volunteer to serve, items can be dropped off/picked up between 8:00 am – 4:00 pm operating days at City Hall.
